Teejay Sidhu (born Tajinder Sidhu, 22 January 1980) is an Indian film actress, Chanel V VJ, model and anchor. She is also on the Central Board of Film Certification CBFC. She is married to Film / TV actor Karanvir Bohra.

Early life

Teejay was born and brought up in Vancouver, Canada. Her father Kewal Singh SIdhu and mother Surinder Sidhu had shifted to Vancouver in the mid 1970s. She has five siblings, three sisters and two brothers. She is a graduate of Broadcast Communications from BCIT British Columbia Institute of Technology. She was also the editor and co-founder of India base music magazine Rave which was subsequently sold to a U.S. organisation.

Career

She moved to Mumbai in 2002 to pursue a career in the glamour industry. She started off as a radio host at 93.5 Red FM, anchoring the 'Breakfast Show.' Simultaneously, she began modeling for various brands, doing magazine shoots and ramp shows. After a year, she became a VJ with Channel V, hosting the popular show 'Channel V Workouts.' In 2007, she took part in the Gladrags pageant and won the 'Gladrags Best Model' award. Teejay trained/performed with theatre legends such as Alyque Padamsee and Nadira Babbar. She also acted alongside Bollywood’s legendary, Helen, in 2009. She made her film debut in the hit Punjabi movie, 'Tera Mera Ki Rishta' alongside Jimmy Sheirgill.
